Rob has been working as an independent consultant since 1987 and has been an associate consultant with The Performance Group since 1997. He is a Director of RK&A Ltd, a consulting company with offices in the UK. He works throughout Europe aiding clients with major business transformations, through harnessing the potential of people at all levels in organisations. He is based in North West England and lives in a small village on the edge of the Lake District.
He specialises in leadership, teambuilding, group dynamics, people development, and in using experiential development as a medium for learning. His consulting areas focus on building individual, team and leadership capabilities necessary to achieve breakthrough performance.
Rob has been working in Training and Consulting since 1980, after an early career in teaching, working with disturbed and delinquent teenagers. He then worked with a Development Training Organisation designing and delivering Outdoor Management Development programmes. After 2 years research into motivation he formed his own training and development business in 1987, providing powerful, innovative and focused initiatives to develop people and address specific business goals. Through
VerticalAir Ltd., a development training company he founded in 2001, he designs and produces exercises, and delivers experiences to provide team and business metaphors through which people can learn and develop. VerticalAir also has a high level ropes course in 2 acres of beautiful beech woods in the English Lake District.
His recent work has been in working with companies to find ways to combine organisation development needs with their Corporate Social Responsibility Charters.
He is used to putting together teams of experts to meet the needs of Clients and has worked with a range of international companies across all industry sectors. Much of his work has been to facilitate change through the development of people at all levels in organisations, from Boards of Directors to Factory workers.
